Trip Details

Flight departs Friday evening with a stopover in Dubai/Seoul/Frankfurt/Singapore and land in Hyderabad Sunday early morning. From Hyderabad, we take a 3½ hour car ride to our hotel in Miryalaguda. We take the rest of Sunday to get acclimated and prepped for our first meeting that evening.

Medical, Dental, Vision clinics and Vacation Bible School runs during the week days, Monday-Friday. Evening evangelism meetings run from Sunday evening to Friday/Saturday evening. Saturday morning worship service is held at the school. All flights depart Saturday evening and arrive back in the states by Sunday afternoon.

Daily Schedule

Day Time (9am-4pm)

  • Medical Clinics – Daily medical clinics in different villages.
  • Dental Clinics – Daily dental clinics in different villages.
  • Vision Clinics – Daily vision clinics paired up with medical clinics.
  • Vacation Bible School – Held during the day at the Miryalaguda SDA School for the 500+ students.
  • Prayer Walks – Door to door prayer walks happen during the day in the villages.

Evening Evangelism (7-10pm)

  • Children's Program – Songs and short story or drama.
  • Preventative Health Talk – Ten minute talk addressing health issues in the region.
  • Message – Evangelism sermon.
  • Prayer Sessions – After the meeting ends, most villagers ask for one-on-one prayer.

Cost

Individual Cost

  • Flight cost: $1,500-$1,800
  • Lodging, food, and transportation: $600

Group Cost

  • Evangelism set up (already reached villages): $1,000 per village
  • Evangelism set up (new villages): $4,500 per village
  • Medical, dental, vision clinic supplies: Price varies depending on number of villages and teams
  • VBS material: TBD
  • Each group is encouraged to bring gifts – school supplies, sports equipment, instruments, art supplies, or in-kind donations.

Preparation

  • Visa application – Need to receive a travel visa to India prior to trip. It takes approximately 3-4 weeks so sooner the better. Details on what to put on your form will be emailed out.
  • Immunizations – Need to locate a travel clinic to determine what immunizations are advised by the state department.
  • Medical supplies – We take with us one day's worth of medication and purchase the rest in India.
  • Dental supplies – We ask for donations from surrounding dentists & friends. All dental supplies we take from the states.
  • Dental chair – Need to secure dental chairs depending on the number of dentists traveling.
  • Books, clothing, school supplies, sports equipment – Everyone takes 2 suitcases stocked with supplies and donated items. We try to limit personal items to take as much as we can to donate.
  • Sermons, Children's Story, Health Talk, VBS, Praise Music – All are advised to prepare presentations well in advance. We have PowerPoint sermons, health talks, and children's stories that can be distributed in advance. Our goal is to be ready before we get to India. Training sessions will be provided prior to the trip.
